The Howes offers high quality bed and breakfast in Ambleside in the beautiful Lake District. The Howes is a modern and very well appointed B&B, located in a quiet cul-de-sac with private parking and a lovely terraced garden with fine views stretching out over Ambleside towards the Lakeland hills, The Howes is situated just a short, convenient stroll from the centre of Ambleside, a bustling, lively little town. The Howes is a dog friendly B&B.
Accommodation / Rooms: 3 guest bedrooms - two double bedded rooms and one twin. All have en-suite shower and toilet and all are situated on the ground floor, making for easy access. Each bedroom is beautifully decorated and furnished, and all have spacious, comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities, a table and chairs and colour television. Guests may use a door key, allowing free access during the day.
Breakfast: A full English breakfast menu is available, with lighter or vegetarian alternatives. So with the emphasis very much on informality and peaceful relaxation, breakfast each morning is served any time you choose between 8-9am. Enjoy a lie-in and a breakfast tray in bed, or your breakfast served at the table in your bedroom. On fine mornings, a leisurely breakfast can also be enjoyed out of doors, in our sunny, terraced garden.
Tourist Information: your host Mike Dixon, is always pleased to give visitors the benefit of his expert local knowledge to help make the very most of a Lake District holiday. Also, the town has information centres at Market Cross and Waterhead to help you choose where to go and what to do.
